F. J. Busse’s workers performed their construction with extreme caution and precision such that, quite literally, no square inch of the archaeological site was disturbed in any way. Above and beyond their incredible attention to detail was the quality of construction itself… No design is any better than the builder is capable of rendering, and in this particular instance, F. J. Busse Company has rendered the design into an unparalleled edifice.

This 16,000-year-old archaeological site and historic landmark houses the life work of the archaeologist. We ensured the excavation was safe from vibrations, debris and the elements. Also kept at the utmost importance was the wellbeing of all workers, with fall protection and safety measures taken for the erection of the structure. The site was an uneven rockface located on the side of a cliff overhang and the closest vehicle access was about 100 steps below the worksite. The roof of the building sloped in two different directions and the major structural elements were not plumb, square or level.
